The beach is located in a sandy cove that extends at the foot of the village of Fuseta, facing an arm of the Ria, and is much appreciated by children due to the calm and warm waters. At low tide it is possible to stroll through the creeks and mud banks in the surrounding area (taking due care not to disturb the bivalve nurseries) and observe the local fauna, especially crabs and bivalves but also some shorebirds, which look for food in the mud. with their long beaks. At the western end of this spit of sand you can see a curious building on palisades; It is an old shipwreck aid station. Despite the proximity to the town, the water quality normally remains acceptable during the bathing season, as in the Ria Formosa the water is renewed with each tidal cycle.
