Lagoa is a town in the former district of Faro, in the Portuguese region of the Algarve. The population in 2011 was 22,975, in an area of 88.25 km². Its urban population is 6,100 inhabitants.
Lagoa is bounded on the north and east by the municipality of Silves, west by Portimão, and fronts the Atlantic Ocean to the south.
Lagoa is a municipality rich in beaches. They have improved dramatically over the last few decades, in terms of infrastructure and access, as well as in terms of water quality and the environment. They now successfully compete with the better-known beaches of Portimão and Albufeira.

Slide & Splash is a popular water park in the Algarve. The water park is quite big and offers many fun attractions for the entire family. Next to the water slides, you can see live animal shows and in the Aquafeeling area, you can enjoy a relaxing massage or fish spa. The family park has a capacity of 4200 people. Since its opening in 1986, Slide & Splash has focused on keeping its visitors happy by continuously innovating and modernizing the slides, adding new colors and effects. Slide & Splash is located in the heart of the Algarve, near Lagoa.
